St. George Adventure!

For New Year's we headed to St. George and spent a few days with Mike's parents and visit his Grandpa.  It was so fun!  We went to Hoover Dam and just hung out.  Tanner loved just watching movies in the car on the drive.  What a junkie :)  We had a total blast!  The only problem was we left snow for MORE freezing weather and snow in St. George. Bummer!  That just means we'll have to go down there again soon to find some warmer weather :)

Ready for the long drive!

Beautiful red rock!

We woke up to SNOW!!

Grandpa was showing Tanner some airplane movies...he thought that was pretty cool.

On the NEW bridge at Hoover Dam.  Pretty cool!

You can see the bridge off to the right.

Parties, Parties, Parties!!

It seems in December you are going somewhere different every weekend for a Christmas party.  As fun as it is, I do enjoy January where nothing is going on and you can just have a Saturday at home.  That being said, we had some FUN Christmas parties in December.  We always enjoy the BIG Hansen family party where we got to see Mike's Grandpa and enjoy food and a fun program.  After that party we headed to Ashley's house and did the small Hansen family party with Mike's immediate family.  So fun!  We exchanged cousin gifts and laughed and played.  Tanner got the cutest Schwinn trike from Grandma and Grandpa Hansen.   Then on Christmas Eve we had the Hurst family Christmas exchange.  We did white elephants this year and I scored some sweet Donny and Marie Barbie dolls from 1979!  Nice!  We also exchanged cousing gifts and did a short program.

Tanner's new trike from Grandma and Grandpa Hansen.  He love it!  It's been getting some good use in our basement :)  Can't wait till spring and we can try it outside!

Christmas 2010

Christmas was so fun!  We spent Christmas morning (and a couple days after) with the Hursts.  Tanner must have been good because Santa brought him a lot of fun toys!  His big present was a train table and a Thomas the train set to go on it.  He thought opening presents was pretty cool this year.  As a family we got a new little point and shoot camera.  I got some knives from my parents and Mike got a cool new ladder.  We had a fun Christmas!  It was fairly warm on Christmas day and Grandpa Hurst knows Tanner loves the merry-go-round so we went and found one and played for 5 minutes.  Tanner loved it!  We also had a lot of fun playing with my brother-in-law's Xbox 360 Kinnex and practicing our sweet dance moves.

Saying "cheese" on Daddy's new ladder.

Just being silly.

Dave's sweet dance moves!

Playing with his flashlight Santa put in his stocking.  He would've been happy with just that Christmas morning.

November

We set up our Christmas tree early in November so we could enjoy it for awhile.  I love my tree and I love setting it up every year.  Tanner seemed to know just what to do with the ornaments.  He started taking them out of the box one by one and putting them on the tree.  So fun to have a little helper!

Fluffing the branches.

My little helper

Almost decorated!!

I wanted a comfy spot to read by Mike while he was on the computer so he fixed me up this cozy a spot.  I thought it was cute so I snapped a picture.

Tanner wanted to go help Daddy shovel the driveway but after a few minutes (and touching the snow with bare hands because he refused to wear gloves) he decided he wanted to come in where it was warm!  I got him warm and bathed and in jammies so he could sit and watch a movie on Daddy's phone by the fire.  How cute!

Sad Cold Face.

Watching a movie by the fire.

The big event of November was of course Thanksgiving.  We headed to Ashley's with the Hansen clan.  It was a blast!  We had a fantastic dinner and enjoyed just hanging out with each other.  So fun!  I was even able to snap some cute pics of our family.

All the Hansen grandkids.  So cute!

Mike and Tanner playing outside for a minute.

Mmm...pie.

The Friday after Thanksgiving we got a room at Little America and went to see the lights.  It was so fun!  And we all know the best part about Little America...SWIMMING!!!  Tanner is a little FISH!  He splashed literally non-stop until finally he just was too tired to go on.  We had a blast.

That looks like a happy boy that had fun swimming!

Here are just some action shots of Tanner jumping.  I just thought they were so funny.  He is my little jumper and gets some good air too!

Ready...

 SET... (that's some serious concentration.
JUMP!

Just a cute picture :)  I love those blue eyes.

October 2010

We took a weekend trip to the cabin in October and Tanner fell asleep on the four wheeler every time we took him on a ride.  Too cute!  Carly and Tanner are getting to be good buds.  Tanner is getting more comfortable around other kids and his cousins but still has his "breakdown" moments (he is used to having everything to himself!!!  That is going to change when this new baby comes!)

Buddies!

This new baby is due March 16th and we are so excited!  This is me at around 18 weeks.

We had a pumpkin carving adventure for Halloween.  Tanner didn't like the pumpkin guts but he wanted to use all the tools that Mommy and Daddy were using...you know, the knives and stuff.  He thought they were pretty cool when we lit them and turned off all the lights.
