June

Man, were we even home in the month of June?  To start the month of June off we hopped in the car and drove to South Dakota!  My parents went with us and my sister Emily and her husband and 2 girls met up with us there.  It was such a fun road trip!

Martin's Cover visitor's Center.   We stopped here on the way.

Mt. Rushmore

Proof that we were there :)

Ty knows how to hike :)

Playing on the rocks in the black hills.  SO FUN!

We went to an indoor water park at our hotel one day.  The kids loved it!  Here is Tanner showing off his back floats.

Tanner fell asleep floating around the lazy river.  Too cute!

Mike and I then headed for a weekend trip to Star Valley.  It was spontaneous and quick but so fun!  Sometimes you just need to escape for a couple of days.

At the end of the month we went to Hebgan Lake and Yellowstone.  It was so beautiful and warm!  We saw two bears while driving through the park.  The first time I've ever seen a bear in the wild!

Takin' a boat ride :)

So relaxed!

Tanner and Brigham looking at the buffalo.  Such good buddies.

On one warm afternoon I attempted wake boarding.....and failed.  Oh well :)  Try, try again, right?

BEAUTIFUL!

May Update

May was a busy month!  How did we fit it all in?  Taking care of a busy 2 year old and 2 month old is a lot of work!  But we still managed to have some fun.... a lot of fun actually!

Ty was blessed at the beginning of the month and so we did a mad dash to get everything ready for company to come over.  Mike's parents offered up there old dining room table and Mike and I snatched it!  Mike and I stripped the old finish (a dark cherry wood) and painted the chairs and table legs white.  I also found some fun new fabric for $3/yd on clearance to re-upholster the chairs.  I LOVE my new table!  It was a lot of work but well worth it!  I do not have before pictures (big oops on my part...just completely spaced it) but here are some after pictures of my new dining room table!

After the blessing it was time to celebrated my birthday!!  My birthday was on a Thursday and Mike took Friday off and we went to the zoo.  It was so much fun!  We got to see the elephants and Tanner got to try the Carousel which he loved.

Riding a Lion!

Tanner absolutely LOVES Ty and it makes me so happy.  He is always making sure Ty is happy and giving him toys and things.  They are cute brothers.  When Ty is in his crib Tanner supplies him with toys to play with.  So cute :)   Also this month we had a big milestone of getting rid of Tanner's binky!!!  It was not as hard as I thought it would be and he has done great without it.  One morning I just asked if he wanted to throw his binky away and he said yes and went and grabbed it and threw it in the garbage.  The garbageman came in the big truck and took it away and that was that.  We had a few rough nights but after that it has been great!  And Tanner is talking so much more without having the binky around.  May was a good month!

Ty in his crib with all the balls Tanner brought him...just in case he needed to play with them :)

Got Binky?
Sunglasses and measuring tape...what have you got planned  Tanner?

November

We set up our Christmas tree early in November so we could enjoy it for awhile.  I love my tree and I love setting it up every year.  Tanner seemed to know just what to do with the ornaments.  He started taking them out of the box one by one and putting them on the tree.  So fun to have a little helper!

Fluffing the branches.

My little helper

Almost decorated!!

I wanted a comfy spot to read by Mike while he was on the computer so he fixed me up this cozy a spot.  I thought it was cute so I snapped a picture.

Tanner wanted to go help Daddy shovel the driveway but after a few minutes (and touching the snow with bare hands because he refused to wear gloves) he decided he wanted to come in where it was warm!  I got him warm and bathed and in jammies so he could sit and watch a movie on Daddy's phone by the fire.  How cute!

Sad Cold Face.

The big event of November was of course Thanksgiving.  We headed to Ashley's with the Hansen clan.  It was a blast!  We had a fantastic dinner and enjoyed just hanging out with each other.  So fun!  I was even able to snap some cute pics of our family.

All the Hansen grandkids.  So cute!

Mike and Tanner playing outside for a minute.

Mmm...pie.

The Friday after Thanksgiving we got a room at Little America and went to see the lights.  It was so fun!  And we all know the best part about Little America...SWIMMING!!!  Tanner is a little FISH!  He splashed literally non-stop until finally he just was too tired to go on.  We had a blast.

That looks like a happy boy that had fun swimming!

Here are just some action shots of Tanner jumping.  I just thought they were so funny.  He is my little jumper and gets some good air too!

Ready...

Just a cute picture :)  I love those blue eyes.
