Hansen Halloween Party

The Hansen Party was such a blast! We decorated the barn and had some very fun games for the kids. They played Bingo, where if they got a bingo (which everyone did, of course) they got to choose their own prize off the table. So fun! We also had yummy soup, sweet pork sandwiches, and again WAY TOO MANY SWEETS! Thanks Pat and Kim for all the fun!

Everyone that dressed up.

Hurst Halloween Party

We had a blast at the Hurst Halloween party. It was complete with celery creepy fingers for appetizers, vampire punch, and way too many sweets! For a fun activity we made creep cakes. We had a blast!

Our little family...the Ardi family: Boy Ardi, Mom Ardi, and Dad Ardi.

My Brother being silly.

Lisa and Greg as Hermione Granger and an army guy.

My mom and pop as a clown and mafia guy. (My mom was a trooper and was dressed like this ALL DAY! She wore this to school for her kindergartners...she LOVES to dress up though, if you can't tell :)

Dave, Sarah, and Brigham as Willy Wonka, a Wonka Bar (with a golden ticket!), and Tigger.

MIke, Seve, and Ari as a scary skeleton grim reaper guy, a flower, and a Bee.

Bon Appetit!

Nebraska

A week ago my mom, sister Lisa, and I went to Columbus, Nebraska to visit our sister Emily and her little family. She just had a baby a month ago and we got to see the little cutie, Colbie, and spend time with cute Alexis too. We had a blast with the girls (we did miss Sarah though...she was unable to come because she is 8 months pregnant). We went to the Omaha Zoo one day (which is AMAZING!) Our favorite was the baby gorilla. One gorilla was looking at Tanner through the glass. Tanner was talking to it and laughing and then it pounded on the glass and walked away. It was pretty cool, and Tanner didn't even flinch. On Sunday we went to the morning session of conference at Emily and Shaun's branch building. It was really neat to meet some people in their branch. Emily and Shaun also got permission to bless Colbie while we were there. We really did love Columbus and thought all the corn fields were so beautiful! Here are some pictures of our adventure.

US AT THE AIRPORT. WE WERE QUITE THE SPECTACLE. WE ALREADY HAD CHECKED OUR BAGS HERE, BUT PICTURE US WITH THREE BAGS ALONG WITH THE BABY, WHEELCHAIR, STROLLER, AND CRUTCHES!!

ME AND TANNER ON THE PLANE. THIS WAS HIS FIRST PLANE-RIDE!

ON OUR WAY TO THE ZOO.

THE PENGUIN TUBE. IT LOOKS LIKE THE PENGUINS ARE SWIMMING RIGHT ABOVE YOU.

THE BABY GORILLA. IT GOT INJURED SO HAD TO BE REMOVED FROM THE OTHER GORILLAS UNTIL THEY CAN SAFELY RE-INTRODUCE IT.

OUR SWEET KILL. JUST KIDDIN'...HE'S JUST SLEEPING.

OUR PHOTO SHOOT IN COLUMBUS. WE HAD TO CAPTURE THE FARMIN' SCENE.

AND THE CORN...TANNER WASN'T TOO SURE ABOUT IT THOUGH.EMILY AND COLBIE. THEY WERE ABLE TO BLESS COLBIE WHILE WE WERE THERE. IT WAS SO NEAT. ME AND COLBIE THE DAY WE WERE LEAVING. EMILY MADE THE HAT SHE IS WEARING. SHE INSPIRED ME TO RESURRECT MY CROCHET SKILLS (more about that on a later blog...)
Thanks Emily, Shaun, Alexis, and Colbie for such a fun trip!! Thanks Mom, Lisa, and Tanner for being my travel buddies. We had so much fun!

Happy 1/2 Birthday!

Today is Tanner's 1/2 birthday! I can't believe my baby boy is 6 months old! He is getting SO cute and loves to laugh and play with Mommy and Daddy. He scoots around on his back and rolls to his belly where he can spin in circles to get what he wants. He is so inquisitive and wants to look at and touch EVERYTHING. In the mornings he is always so excited to see us and he immediately starts "talking" and practicing all his sounds. We had to buy him new pj's becuase he got so big! One pair is Dinosuar Camo Jammies. Mike picked them out and he calls them Tanner's Dinamos...Used in a sentance: "Stace, let's have Tanner wear his Dinamos tonight". We love this little guys SO MUCH! Happy 1/2 Birthday Tanner!

Sleeping and Screaming

Tanner is 5 months old now! Time really is flying by! He is such a good sleeper these days and some days I find myself waking up at 7:00 in the morning only to realize he hasn't woken up in the night to eat! WOW! I just think he is so cute when he's sleeping and can't resist taking pictures.
Some mornings he just ends up in our bed...doesn't he just look like he got his way?
This is how he woke up from a nap the other day...he was sleeping like this with his hands behind his head. So funny!
He has learned a few tricks lately: He rolls over from his back to his belly, and he also has discovered a new noise that he practices often...a high pitched SCREAM! He is just so silly and I just love every moment of being a mommy!

House Update

The building of our house is really coming along! If they keep up the pace, we will be in by HALLOWEEN!! Let's hope that's the case. Right now they are framing. It is amazing what they have gotten done in a week's time. We went out there yesterday and they had all the main floor walls framed and the trusses up (picture not available because some forgetful wife didn't take the camera...woops!) But here's some other pics of the building process. We are excited!
