I am behind in my posting, but I promise a new post soon with PICTURES! We had a birthday party on Saturday that deserves a nice long post...so stay tuned for that.
We've been battling sickness at our house. Tanner had a low fever all day Monday and then Monday night it got up to 103.1 a couple of times. The nurse said to just keep our eyes on it. On Tuesday he was so sick...I felt so bad for the little guy. He just wanted to be held and was very lethargic. That night his fever spiked to 104.9 and he was breathing fast because his fever was so high. We immediately took him to insta-care and they did all kinds of tests on him (poor guy). They swabbed his nose for influenza, which came back negative. They swabbed his throat for strep (which made him throw up), and that was negative. The looked in his ear which was red and possibly an ear infection, but it was not inflamed so they kept other possibilities open. They took an x-ray of his little chest (which was quite hard to hold him still) and saw slight fuzziness at the bottom of one side possibly denoting pneumonia. Needless to say, he BAWLED the entire time (which was about 1 1/2 hours). I don't blame him! They gave him antibiotics that would cover the possibility of an ear infection or pneumonia. After two doses, his fever was gone, he wanted to play, and he was laughing and smiling again! I'm so glad to have him feeling better. Now if the cough and phlegm can just go away... Mike and I caught the same junk (minus the fever) Just sore throats and coughs and lots of phlegm... YUCK! I am so ready to feel better! I feel like we've been sick at our house for two months!
Side note: While I'm posting this Tanner discovered how to turn the TV off and on. So at this very moment he's standing in front of the TV pushing the button...off...on...off...on... LOVELY!

We have been in the same cycle of illness around here - only my crazy pregnant body doesn't seem to be able to fight off anything. I have been sick FOREVER! At least the kids are pretty much over it though. Sick kids really are the worst. I'm glad Tanner's feeling better now.
I remember the TV phase. There are a couple good "baby proof" things at Babies R Us if you decide you can't take it any more. It was worth it for me with Dylan. Preston didn't do it quite as much. And some of the time I would give up and just flip the surge protector off for awhile. Honestly! There's only so much a mom can take! :)
This little guy scared me. I was ready to get in the car and go to Hyrum, but alas ... What could I do?...I quickly remembered when our kids got sick. It is alot of heartache!!
Poor Tanner! I'm so glad for antibiotics. Can you imagine what they had to endure in the old days when babies were sick? So sad. Love you guys.
